Busy is not the Point

Walk up to many people in a social setting and ask how they’re doing.  “Busy", they will tell you.  “Very Busy”.  And we’re supposed to be impressed.  “Oh, they must be doing well, they’re so busy!” you may think. 

But busy is not the point.  No medals for busy.  You can win medals for efficiency.  You can win medals for being productive or for doing work that matters.  But no awards for busy.
