Have You Unsubscribe To Anything Today?

I recently attended a conference where they had a room full of vendors showing off their wares. But even if I didn't give my information to them, my information still got shared with ALL the vendors at the show. Needless to say, I have been getting quite a few emails in my inbox lately that I really have no interest in. Of course, I can very easily swipe left (that is the swipe gesture I set up in my email app) and delete these messages, but they will continue to be received at whatever interval the company decides. OR, I can take 10 seconds and click that unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email and be forever done with receiving those emails. Which lets me receive only the emails I am interested in.

I see many people who have hundreds or thousands of unread messages in their inbox. I always ask them about them, and they all say the same thing - "Oh, those are messages I really don't need to read". Some people say "They're emails with coupons I might want to use if I ever get around to going to that store".

Here's a little tip: Unless you empty your deleted items, they will generally stay in your inbox for about 30 days and will then roll out and be permanently deleted. So if you do find yourself at that store or restaurant, you can always go into your deleted items and retrieve the coupon. They're generally only good for a limited time anyway. And this way, you don't have those emails cluttering up your inbox.

Go through your inbox this week and decide which emails you no longer want to receive and unsubscribe from them. You will thank me later.
